Ballet
Professional training in Classical Ballet.
Our teachers are registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and we follow the RAD guidelines and syllabus for classical ballet.
From our fun and imaginative pre-school programme to our Majors programme for talented students, we have classes to suit all ages and abilities.
Pre-school Ballet: Children can start ballet classes from 3 years old. The classes are fun for both boys and girls, even if they do not intend to take up dance classes when they start school.
Lower Grades Ballet: From Primary 1, children learn ballet basics with a continued emphasis on fun, imagination and expression. They progress through the RAD graded syllabus and develop their understanding of classical ballet technique. They are also introduced to 'character dance' which involves folk dance styles from across Europe.
Middle Grades Ballet: In grades 3-5, students continue to develop their classical ballet technique and vocabulary. By grade 5, they will have a very good understanding of classical ballet technique, free movement and character. In grade 3, students with obvious potential are encouraged to audition for our Majors programme to study the R.A.D. vocational graded syllabus.
Higher Grades Ballet: The ‘Higher Grades’ allow the students to further develop their classical vocabulary and make full use of their technique. There is a greater emphasis on dance quality and performance, ending with the Grade 8 performance award.
We strive to meet the following objectives:
A broad range of dance styles
Our range of dance classes covers: Pre-School classes, Ballet classes, Tap Dancing classes, Jazz classes, Acrobatics classes, Cheerleading classes, Majors programme classes, Holiday Dance classes, and more!
