Professional training in Classical Ballet.
Our teachers are registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and we follow the RAD guidelines and syllabus for classical ballet.
From our fun and imaginative pre-school programme to our Majors programme for talented students, we have classes to suit all ages and abilities.
Pre-school Ballet: Children can start ballet classes from 3 years old. The classes are fun for both boys and girls, even if they do not intend to take up dance classes when they start school.
Lower Grades Ballet: From Primary 1, children learn ballet basics with a continued emphasis on fun, imagination and expression. They progress through the RAD graded syllabus, from Pre-Primary to Primary, and develop their understanding of ballet technique with an emphasis on expression and enjoyment.
Middle Grades Ballet: In Grades 1-5, students continue to develop their ballet technique and vocabulary. The newly revised Grades 1-3 are both challenging and creative and are very much enjoyed by both students and teachers. In grade 3, students with obvious potential are encouraged to audition for our Majors programme to study the RAD vocational graded syllabus. Grades 3-5 are ideal for students studying NPA, Int 2 or SQA Higher Dance at school.
Higher Grades Ballet: Grades 6-8, the ‘Higher Grades’, allow the students to further develop their classical vocabulary and make full use of their technique and performance skills. There is emphasis on dance quality and musicality, culminating with the Grade 8 performance award.
Adult Ballet: Adult dancers of all abilities, from beginners to those with previous experience, are encouraged to "Hit the Barre" in our adult ballet classes.
