Starshine Elite teams
Starshine Elite is our competitive dance team...
Dancers compete at Youth, Junior and Senior level in a arange of dance styles including hip-hop and jazz/contemporary. They have competed across the UK bringing home trophies at regional and national levels. Entry to the team is by annual audition in the form of dance workshops; dancers are expected to attend each workshop to demonstrate their commitment to becoming a competitive dancer.
Due to the demanding nature of being in a competitive team, entry is by annual audition. Auditions are open to all dancers within the relevant age group, however, they are expected to already have a high standard of dance and performance skills. Unfortunately, not all dancers are suited, either physically or emotionally, for a competitive team.
|Youth/Junior (9-14): Sundays 28 Aug., 4 and 11 Sept., 5.45pm||Maddiston Community Centre|

Training and classes
Team members must attend at least 1 weekly training session during term time and complement that with additional classes in jazz, acrobatics and ballet. They will also have a demanding rehearsal, competition and performance schedule which places a great deal of pressure on both the dancers and their parents. Successful candidates will be required to sign a behavioural agreement in advance of joining the team.
The programme is a big commitment and demands dedication from both students and their parents.
