Tap Dancing
A timeless dance style...

Immortalised in Hollywood by stars such as Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly, tap dancing is still a popular dance style for all ages and abilities. Beneficial for all ages, tap improves coordination, strength and memory as well as increasing cardiovascular fitness.

Our children have the option to enter graded tap exams or to study tap alongside their other classes just for fun

Adult tap classes are also available, offering an enjoyable and rhythmical way to keep fit.

Tapping for fun...

 - Pre-school and Junior classes include an introduction tap.  It helps develop coordination, counting, rhythm and balance.

 - All our Jazz dance classes include tap dancing, with an emphasis on group performance and without the pressure of exams.

Graded tap examinations

Our teachers are registered with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and students are encouraged to enter graded exams at all levels. The newly revised lower grades syllabus is influenced by American and Rhythm tap and is both fun and challenging for young dancers. Contact us for more information.
