Claire McAlister B.Ed. (Hons)

Claire is a qualified cheerleading coach and trains STARSHINE.

Claire McAlister (nee Smith) trained with Central Scotland Ballet School from the age of 3. She was awarded Distinction for her Grade 8 and advanced ballet exams from the Royal Academy of Dance. She was a Scottish Ballet and Ballet West Associate and performed with Ballet West and European Ballet.  She also won 4 consecutive scholarships from the Royal Academy of Dance and danced in musical theatre productions across Scotland.

Claire was the first student to win our Millennium trophy.

She is now a PE teacher and Head of Dance in a local High School.  She is a also fully qualified cheer teacher, has won many national titles in cheerleading and trains STARSHINE cheerleaders.

Claire is a guest tutor for many dance schools across Scotland and is a supply teacher for our ballet and jazz classes.
