Alice in Wonderland
The Majors students performed a short adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland" at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow, as part of Go Dance 10.
Go Dance has become a celebrated annual event, bringing together dance groups from across Scotland in a week-long programme of dance. Participants have the wonderful opportunity to experience rehearsing and performing in a professional theatre.
Break a leg...
... the saying is meant to bring the performers good luck but not for our 'Queen of Hearts', Suzanne Banks. She fell at a school dance rehearsal and broke several bones in her foot only 3 days before the show. CSBS teacher, Amanda Clark stepped into the role at the last minute, without any rehearsal!
For many of the students, this was their first chance to rehearse and perform as part of the Majors programme... including little Lucy Hutton (pictured above). Lucy (10) was invited to dance the role of 'The White Rabbit'. Her dancing was beautiful and her acting was very expressive. Well done!
