Dancers get soggy in Spain...
Twenty students aged 10-19 travelled to Port Aventura in Spain to perform in the Imperial Theatre.
They danced a hip-hop routine choreographed by renowned choreographer Jordi Guitart, with additional choreography by our own teachers, Samantha Clark and Claire Smith. The performance was a great success and the audience and technical staff remarked on the high standard, energy and professionalism.
The dancers had raised funds for the trip by organising cake'n'candy mornings and completing a gruelling 'dance-athon'. Ballet school Directors, Samantha, Amanda and Mrs Clark joined them for the trip and we all had great fun... in the wind and rain!
The weather was very cold and wet, and a memorable part of the trip was the group learning the Finale routine in the pouring rain under brollies and hastily purchased rain capes!
Parents and students can purchase a DVD of the trip which includes the performance and the Dance-athon. Photos are posted on our Bebo page.
