Snow week brings our classes online!

With extreme weather bringing the country to a halt, we took our dance classes online!

The snow forced community venues to close and made travel almost impossible; we reluctantly had to cancel 4 days of dance classes... 96 lessons in total! With only a week left to prepare for dance exams and parents days, we were worried that the students were missing out on valuable teaching time, so Amanda held dance lessons on Facebook Live to help students practice at home! Snow Day classes were given for preschool ballet; Grades 2-3 ballet; Grade 3 tap; Junior Jazz; and Junior/Primary tap. Teacher Kristina also gave a challenging jazz class for older students.

The highlight of the programme was a Friday night Family Dance Party which everyone could join in with at home... It was a bit like a Sparkle Party with disco lights in Amanda's lounge!

You can still access all the dance videos on our CSBS Facebook page and keep practising throughout the year... or just enjoy the party!

Our teachers and dance families also helped to clear safe access to our Studio and Community venues joining the local community at schools and community centres. Great work everyone!
