Spring exam session finished!

Spring exam session finished!

Our 2018 Spring exam session saw 233 candidates sitting exams in ballet, tap and acrobatics!

Students and their teachers had been working extremely hard over the past couple of months to prepare for the exams with CSBS teacher Sammy leading almost 30 hours of extra classes dedicated to exam practice. Our teachers were also stretched throughout exam week as they managed to cover 4 full days of ballet exams and 4 days of tap exams which had been scheduled over the same 4 days!

In this session, we had 90 students enter for ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) from Pre-Primary to Grade 7 levelas, and also at the challenging Vocational levels up to Advanced! Another 45 candidates entered for grade tap exams with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) at Primary to Grade 4, and 98 dancers entered for their BATD acrobatics medal tests.

We expect all the results to arrive after the Easter break and look forward to seeing how the candidates performed on the day. All our dancers will now be working toward our annual dance displays in their dance classes so it's straight back into lots of hard work!

We strive to meet the following objectives:

Promoting dance excellence

A range of venues

Our venues include: South Queensferry, Linlithgow, Falkirk Braes, Grangemouth,

Encouraging participation

At every age and level, our dance pupils are encouraged to attend, spectate and participate in a variety of dance events to enhance their experience of dance.
