Summer exam session results
Many congratulations to our fifty exam candidates on passing their dance exams!
Due to the demands of working for dance displays throughout the summer term, we only have a small exam session in June. We had 9 candidates sit their ISTD tap exams, and 41 candidates sitting RAD ballet exams.
Top tappers!
Of our 9 tap exam candidates, 6 were awarded Distinction and 3 gained a Merit! A special congratulations to Dayna Lipski, Kiera Paterson and Christiana Salaun for passing their Advanced 1 Tap exam with excellent marks, the penultimate grade in the syllabus! Excellent results from all the candidates, with special mention to those who gained a Distinction:
- Grade 2: Ailey Meikle 82%
- Grade 3: Jennifer Armstrong 82%
- Grade 4: Serena McCall 86%; Zoe Young 84%
- Advanced 1: Christinana Salaun 87%; Kiera Paterson 84%
Ballet exam results
We were very impressed that all of the candidates worked very hard after the dance display to put in extra practise before their exam. We have a special congrtulations to Christiana, Holly, Jenna and Laura for passing the Grade 8 with excellent results. It is the final level in th RAD graded syllabus! We also had 5 candidates enter for Solo Performance Awards at Grade 2 and Grade 5 level, every one of them gained Distinction!
Overall, the students gained 4 Pass, 21 Merit, and 16 Distinctions. Well done to the students who gained over 80% for their Distinction:
- Grade 2: April Beattie 81%
- Grade 2 SPA: Iana Phillips 85%
- Grade 5 SPA: Adela Mayers 82%; Katy Russell 90%; Sarah Leslie 84%
- Grade 5: Eve Hanson 85%; Jenna Callaghan 84%; Neela Hossain 82%; Olivia Boath 82%
- Grade 8: Christiana Salaun 88%
