Winter exam results are in!
Many congratulations to our students and teachers on another excellent set of dance exam results!
In the winter 2016 session, we had 68 candidates sitting Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams, and another 12 sitting their Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance tap exams. It was a much smaller session than usual as we decided to encourage many students to get extra practise by waiting until the Spring session.
Ballet exam results
Overall we had 3 candidates gain a Pass, 38 gain Merit, 21 gain Distinction, and 6 little stars gain their Pre-Primary Class Award, the first exam in the RAD syllabus. We are very proud of ALL the candidates for their achievements, but special mention must go to the five girls who sat their challenging vocational exams. All five of them gained distinction!
- Intermediate Foundation: Caitlin O'Malley
- Intermediate: Sarah Leslie, Serena McCall, Katy Russell
- Advanced Foundation: Lucy Hutton
Another extra congratulations to the students who gained over 80% for their Distinctions:
- Primary Grade: Molly Lowrie 85% ; Sienna Brown 90%
- Grade 1: Abbie Morrison 82% ; Emmy Phillips 86%
- Grade 4: Catherine Bain 84%
- Intermediate: Serena McCall 88%
ISTD tap exams
Our tap exam candidates had travelled to Stirling for their exam and performed very well with 9 gaining Merit (some very high!) and 3 gaining Distinction. Many congratulations to those who gained over 80%...
