Dance Display Information

Keep up to date with dance display information - download information about rehearsals, performances, costumes, tickets and backstage helpers.
Our "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW" 2022 dance displays are being held at the MacRobert Arts Centre, 1-7 June. We are very excited to give everyone the opportunity to perform after nearly 3 years away from the spotlights and hope that both parents and dancers all love the expereince. Here is an outline of the basic information including dates, times, costs, tickets etc.
In a change of how we manage the displays, each performer will be required to pay a display fee which will cover a Finale t-shirt, a digital download of the show recording, and rehearsal fee. The other costs to parents will be costume hire and tickets. Please note that Term 4 is only 3 weeks.
You can download a copy of our dance display information leaflet for reference.
REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCE TIMES
All dancers are expected to attend their allocated dress rehearsal in the theatre and their performance(s) as detailed in the notes below. Please do not purchase tickets until you are sure which display your child is performing in.
TICKETS
Tickets for all the dance displays will be available directly from the MacRobert Box Office online or 01786 466 666 from Monday 2 May, 10am. Due to only having one performance for each branch, we respectfully request that each dancer has an allocation of just 3-4 tickets. Each performance will be filmed and a digital copy available to share with family and friends; DVD opies will also be available at additional cost. NOTE: Macrobert health and safety policy requires that any children watching with their parents must also have a ticket. Tickets are non-exchangeable.
COSTUMES
We supply costumes and you are asked to supply basics such as dance shoes, socks and tights. A costume list will be posted along with the hire charges. You can download a copy here once they are prepared. Each student will be given a brown envelope for their costume hire money; please return the brown envelope before the dress rehearsal.
Costumes will be distributed in class from Wednesday 18 May onward, and must be returned after the performance before leaving the theatre.

Parent helpers / chaperones will be identified by a red tabard; there should be no other adults backstage.
NOTE: Unfortunately, men are not allowed to help in the communal changing areas for P3 upward. These rotas will be updated as people volunteer - if you wish to remain backstage during the performance, your name must be on the list for safety reasons. Download PARENT HELPER GUIDELINES.
