Our "LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION" 2019 dance displays are being held at the MacRobert Arts Centre, 12-18 June.

Our Junior dancers will perform in "Pure Imagination" on Saturday 18 May 2019 in Falkirk Town Hall (Braes branch - Preschool to P3) and Carnegie Hall Dunfermline on Sunday 9 June (Queensferry branch - preschool to P3) - click here for the Junior show information and costume details.

Every student in a main branch display is required to attend both the dress rehearsal and both performances at the theatre. Preschool and P1-2 students are required to attend the dress rehearsal and one performance as detailed in the notes below. Please do not purchase tickets until you are sure of which display your child is performing in.

Tickets for the Braes, South Queensferry (P4+ displays), Linlithgow and Grangemouth branch displays are available directly from the MacRobert Box Office online or 01786 466 666. No one will be allowed into the auditorium without a ticket. NOTE: Macrobert health and safety policy requires that any children watching with their parents must also have a ticket. Tickets are non-exchangeable.

Tickets for the South Queensferry JUNIOR branch display are only available directly from Carnegie Hall Box Office on 01383602302 or online from No one will be allowed into the auditorium without a ticket. NOTE: Carnegie Hall health and safety policy requires that pre-school children who will be watching with their parents must also have a ticket. Tickets are non-exchangeable.

A costume list will be posted on each noticeboard along with the hire charges. You can download a copy here once they are prepared. Each student will be given a brown envelope for their costume hire money; please return the brown envelope before the dress rehearsal.

**COMING SOON** Costumes will be distributed in class from Wednesday 29 May onward, and must be returned after the performance before leaving the theatre.

Every student will require a CSBS t-shirt for the Finale. You can purchase a t-shirt from our website. It should be worn with full length black trousers or leggings and black shoes.

All girls must have their hair in a tight, neat ballet bun. All female dancers should wear makeup. Download hair and makeup guidelines

BACKSTAGE: changing rooms and parent helpers

Students must change in their allocated changing room. Due to construction work on campus, changing space at Macrobert is very limited this year. Please label all belongings.

Volunteer chaperones are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all the children in their allocated changing area. No other parents are allowed backstage during the performance. We only need a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10 which is only 1-2 adults per class.

Parent helpers / chaperones will be identified by a red tabard; there should be no other adults backstage.

NOTE: Unfortunately, men are not allowed to help in the communal changing areas for P3 upward. These rotas will be updated as people volunteer - if you wish to remain backstage during the performance, your name must be on the list for safety reasons. Download PARENT HELPER GUIDELINES.

If you wish to remain backstage for the performance, please tick the doodle poll (link above) or  email us with both your name and your child's name and class.
