Samantha Clark B.Ed Hons, RAD RTS

A director of Central Scotland Ballet School, 'Sammy' is principal teacher for our Majors programme.
During her training with Central Scotland Ballet School, Sammy was awarded Distinction and Honours for all her higher dance exams. She performed as a principal dancer with Youth Ballet of Scotland, Ballet West, European Ballet and EuroDisney as well as appearing as both a dancer and principal in musical theatre productions across Scotland. She also trained with Ballet West and was offered full-time dance places at Ballet West, Classical Dance Centre and Urdang Academy.
Sammy is a qualified Primary teacher and teaches in a local Nursery School, as well as being a Director of Central Scotland Ballet School. She is the principal teacher for our Majors programme for talented dancers. She has choreographed shows for local children’s groups and amateur dramatics societies as well as a Disco piece, Rock'Roll medley and Lion King inspired number for MSC Cruises.
Sammy has been a specialist ballet teacher at Denny Dance Academy. She manages our dancewear shop, and our ongoing fundraising through the CSBS Dance Bucket which supplies second hand dancewear to students.
She has 2 young boys who might follow in her dancing footsteps!
Ongoing training...
Sammy gained top marks for her first 2 years of distance study, the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS), from the Royal Academy of Dance and maintains her CPD with the Royal Academy of Dance through regular courses. She is currently taking part in the Inspire Series training with the Royal Ballet School.
She trained to teach lower grades acrobatics and completed her first year of acro teaching in our Braes branch in June 2015.

At every age and level, our dance pupils are encouraged to attend, spectate and participate in a variety of dance events to enhance their experience of dance.
