Braes branch stage brilliant display

Our Braes branch staged a spectaular dance display at Macrobert Arts Centre!

Almost 250 dancers aged 7-18 performed a varied programme of ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics and cheer routines as part of our 2017 display "Legends". The audience loved the show and the dancers received great cheers and applause! Also performing in the show were our Majors ballet dancers who performed a short ballet adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and a modern pointe routine as well as the Starshine Youth cheer and dance teams. At the end of the Finale on the Tuesday, a number of leavers presented Mrs Clark with flowers.

We would be delighted to get your feedback on the the display so please take a few minutes to complete our short survey.

Charity collections

Our charity bucket collections after each performance raised a total of £338.42, and the programme donations raised another £255.07. Dancers Iana and Lucy were also raising money for their Dance World Cup experience; thank you to everyone who made a guess, the winners and their fundraising total were announced at the end of the show... Many congratulations to Charlotte Grant from our South Queensferry branch for correctly guessing 321 sweets in the jar, and to Roan Ogilvie from Braes branch for guessing the Teddy's birthday!! The girls raised £326!

Many thanks also to everyone who donated shoes to our appeal. We will be making a donation of dance shoes and dance clothes to send to Africa in association with Gambia Ballet Factory.
