End of year awards 2016

We welcomed hundreds of parents and guardians to our annual parents days to see their child's progress...

Over 120 dance classes, audiences enjoyed watching their dance class demonstrations and seeing the remarkable progress the young dancers have made over the year. We were delighted by the great performances by the students, and the smiles, applause and positive feedback from proud parents.

In each class, we awarded badges for 100% attendance as well as certificates and trophies for significant progress. In total, we presented just over 600 awards including:

  • 344 attendance badges
  • 140 class progress certificates
  • 117 class progress trophies
  • 5 overall progress trophies

...And everyone got some sweets! We are delighted to have presented 19 awards or badges to some of our boy dancers; the boys are considerably outnumbered by the girls but always work hard and constantly prove that boys dance too!

Overall trophies for most improved dancers

At each branch, we awarded a trophy to the student who our staff feel has made the most significant progress overall. The branch winners (pictured below) were:

  • Braes: Ailish Ogilvie
  • Grangemouth branch: Christy Paterson
  • Linlithgow branch: Olivia Hunter
  • South Queensferry branch: Lucy Anderson and Catherine Bain

Many thanks to the support of all the parents who came along and to all our teachers who have kept the classes hard working and lots of fun, which is evident in the progress over the year! We look forward to classes starting back on 9 January 2017 when we will be straight back into competitions, shows, rehearsals and Spring exams!
