Little stars perform in 'Showstoppers'

Almost 90 little dancers from our South Queensferry branch took to the stage in our first performance of "Showstoppers"...

"Showstoppers- Little Stars Edition" showcased the talents of our little dancers aged 3-6 from our South Queensferry dance classes in a range of ballet, tap and jazz routines. The show was our first show of our 'Showstoppers' run and we have another 6 unique shows to come! It was our first time staging a show in The Pleasance, and was especially exciting to have a sold out audience of 300 family and friends! Also performing in the show were 50 of our Majors dancers who performed routines in jazz, tap and pointe, as well as a short ballet adaptation of "Annie".

We were delighted to also give 3 little dancers the opportunity to perform a solo onstage. Abbie Garmany (13) and Heidi Russell (8) both performed medal winning routines they had choreographed themselves, and Jill Russell (10) performed a ballet solo of her own choreography as our "Millennium Trophy Winner 2018". We had another guest performer... Santa came to perform in a Christmassy number with our little ballet dancers! They were so excited and spent lots of time chatting to him backstage and teaching him some ballet moves!

The class teachers were extremely proud of all their little dancers and thank all the chaperones for their amazing organisation and care in a busy and complicated backstage area!

We would be delighted to get your feedback on the the display so please take a few minutes to complete our short survey.
