Starshine sparkles at Scotcheer Nationals

Starshine cheerleaders brought home a string of awards from the Nationals this weekend!

With many of the squad competing for the first time, they were all very excited and very nervous about performing their routines at the Scotcheer Nationals in Glasgow at the SECC.

On the first day of competition, the team were placed second for Junior Cheer Level 2  and Alessia Fazzone was placed fourth in the Junior Individual Tumble!

The second day was the dance categories and the team performed Pom Dance and Jazz.

Also joining them were the Mini dancers, aged 6-9, who competed in the Hip-Hop and Pom Dance sections of their first ever competition. They were all awarded places in each section:

  • Mini Pom Dance - Fifth
  • Mini Hip-Hop - Fifth
  • Junior Jazz - Fifth
  • Senior Jazz - Fourth
  • Senior Pom Dance - Fifth

You can view a gallery of photos from their rehersals and the competition weekend on the Starshine Facebook page.

Well done to all the dancers and many thanks to Coaches Claire and Amanda for their hard work. If you are interested in joining the squad, they would welcome energetic dancers of all ages and abilities, email
