Starshine win at BOSS Championships

Starshine win at BOSS Championships

Our Starshine cheer and dance teams had great success at their first competition of 2019...

The teams competed at BOSS Cheer and Dance Open Championships in Perth. The Youth and Junior cheer teams took part on the Saturday, with it being the first ever competition for many of the younger dancers. They absolutely loved the competition experience and both teams placed third in their categories! Many congratulations to all the dancers and coach Kiera!

Our Starshine Elite dance teams then took part on the Sunday and had a 'clean sweep', winning first place in every category in which they entered:

  • Senior Jazz - FIRST
  • Senior Hip Hop - FIRST
  • Junior Jazz - FIRST
  • Senior Duet (Ellie and Sarah) - FIRST
  • Senior solo (Zoe) - FIRST
  • Junior solo (Sarah) - FIRST

Huge congratulations to the dancers and to their coach and choreographer Claire. We have a special congratulations to the new Junior team for whom this was their first competition together!

You can view a small gallery of photos from the event on the Starshine Facebook page.

All the teams are now preparing for a busy competition season over the next few months and we wish them all the best! #itstimetoshine
