April is a rising star

Huge good luck wishes to Senior dancer April as she heads to London to begin her full-time training in Musical Theatre. April successfully auditioned for a number of colleges but accepted a place at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she will study for a BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre.

April was a CSBS dancer for around 14 years gaining excellent results in all examinations and winning the annual Senior shield for highest mark in a tap exam. In addition, she was a hard working member of both our Majors Ballet programme and Starshine Elite competition dance team. April was also a much loved class assistant and wonderful mentor for our younger students. April was a regular medal-winning performer in our annual Choreography Competition showcasing her creative choreography and strong performance skills.

Rising theatre star

April is no stranger to the limelight having performed in dance and theatre productions across Scotland. She was also in the Junior Conservatoire Musical Theatre programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior.

Her CV is already very impressive and includes a number of performances in the Edinburgh Fringe as well as voice over and appearances in TV adverts and shorts, principal roles in Youth Theatre productions, and in professional panto as a dancer.
