Fab ‘Project Dance 23’
We were delighted to welcome 39 young dancers across our 4-day Project Dance Summer School 2023 in a beautiful venue, Bo’ness Town Hall.
Twenty-three of the dancers took part in the full course which included a daily warm-up, ballet lesson, classical repertoire, jazz technique, and jazz dance routines. Each day they also had a workshop in a new style including Afro, Pom dance, and Latin. Unfortunately two guest tutors did not arrive, so we must thank CSBS teachers Amanda and Sammy, and guest tutors Kristina and Rachel for covering Afro/Commercial and Latin lessons without notice and ensuring the dancers still had a great experience.

GUEST TUTORS
Our guest faculty was excellent, and inspired our dancers to challenge themselves while having fun! Each tutor also had an emphasis on correct technique which the dancers will be able to apply to their regular classwork. Many thanks to them all:

The faculty were very impressed by the overall enthusiasm and progress made by the students throughout the week, from the beginner and Grade1 level right up to the advanced group. However, they were asked to select the students who they felt had shown more effort or progress, or potential through the course and also gave some ‘special mentions’ in each group.

Ailish is a former CSBS student who has just completed her first year of full-time professional dance training. The teachers were impressed by her consistent effort and attitude throughout the course, and how she took time to support the other dancers as well; an excellent role model for our senior dancers! It was lovely to have her back in Project Dance!
