Showstoppers - Grangemouth and Starshine

Our final "Showstoppers" 2018 dance display was by our Grangemouth branch dancers...

This is the first time the Grangemouth branch has staged it's own show, it usually amalgamates with the Linlithgow branch. One-hundred and twenty-five dancers aged 3-18 were joined onstage by our Starshine cheer and dance teams, our Majors ballet students and our adult tap dancers too. We were especially delighted that they had a sold out auditorium with a VERY enthusiastic audience!

The audience were also treated to three special performances by our dancers who will be representing Team Scotland at the Dance World Cup. Zoe Young performed a jazz solo, Iana Phillips performed a ballet solo, and a hip-hop quad of Rosie Collier, Hollie Crooks, Sara McDonald and Zoe Young performed their routine to the delight of the audience. In the Dance World Cup, they will be competing with 2 different hip-hop routines.

We had an amazing team of CSBS staff, class helpers, and volunteer chaperones backstage helping the children get ready and get onstage quickly while their parents enjoyed the show. Thank you to all of them for an amazing job! Some of the parents and staff had been working backstage for the duration of our run. We must also thank the wonderful technical team who were with us for the duration of the run. We had Kirk on lights (Sight and Sound Scotland) and Kat and Martin from Macrobert on sound andall the other tech elements.

We would be delighted to get your feedback on the the display and love to hear what you enjoyed or any suggestions for improving our shows. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey.

Charity collections

We support a wide range of good causes throughout the year, and our charity bucket collections after the Grangemouth branch performance raised £197.98, and we will be adding the programme donations to the total too. Many thanks for your generosity!
