Showstoppers - Braes branch sparkle!

Our Braes branch dazzled their audience in a showcase of ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics as part of our "Showstoppers" 2018 dance displays...

The Braes dancers performed two shows at Macrobert Arts Centre to great audiences. The 180 dancers aged 8-18 were joined in their performance by 40 of our Majors students who recreated the opening scene of '42nd Street' as the opening to our own show. They also showcased a "Cats" pointe work routine, and a short ballet adaptation of "Annie". A few weeks earlier, the junior dancers from the Braes branch staged "Wish Upon a Star" in Falkirk Town Hall as their dance display.

We also had two students perform solos in the display. Sarah Firth performed an emotional lyrical routine which she had choreographed herself, while our 2018 Millennium Trophy winner, Jill Russell, also performed one of her prize winning routines.

We had a brilliant team of CSBS staff, class helpers, and volunteer chaperones backstage helping the children get ready and get onstage quickly - thank you to all of them for a great job!

We would be delighted to get your feedback on the the display and love to hear what you enjoyed or any suggestions for improving our shows. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey.

Charity collections

We support a wide range of good causes throughout the year, and our charity bucket collections after the two Braes branch performances raised an impressive total of £461, and we will add the programme donations to the fundraising total too. Many thanks for your generosity!
