Big steps in the dance world
Some of our students have been making big steps in the world of dance and ballet over the past month...
Here is just a summary of some of their outstanding achievements:
Eva Simanavicius (11): Eva has successfully auditioned for full time training at the Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow. She has also been offered a place at Hammond School and is an Associate with Ballet West.
Alix Cooper (12): Alix (pictured right) has been offered a place to train full time at Tring Park School of Performing Arts and a place on the Pre-Vocational ballet course with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She is an associate with both Ballet West and Scottish Ballet and was also invited to compete in the Genee Dance Challenge 2011.
Lucy Hutton (12): Following her win at the Royal Academy of Dance Genee Dance Challenge, Lucy was invited to London to perform her solo as a guest artist at the prestigious Phyllis Bedell's Bursary event. She joined winners from other heats and enjoyed a masterclass and tour of the RAD headquarters. Lucy was also awarded the trophy for both Grade 4 level and Best Overall at the RAD Scotland Awards Day.
Jenna Davidson (15): Jenna has recently performed with Errol White Company (Howden Park Residency), Rush Dance Company and U.Dance 2012 (Scottish Platform Event at Macrobert). She successfully auditioned for West Lothian's Higher Dance course and has also gained a place on the Foundation Course with YDance.
Paul Howard (16): Paul has successfully auditioned for the BA in Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He is also a Senior Associate with Scottish Ballet.
Many congratulations to them all - we are all very, very proud of their hard work and dedication.
