Boys Only!
The RAD is running a dance course with a difference... It's just for boys!
Do you automatically think of pink tightts and tutus when you think of ballet...?
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is running it's second Scottish "Boys Only!" course in Edinburgh in April, dispelling some of the myths and prejudices surrounding the world of ballet and dance. Many previous participants have gone on to join dance classes, ballet classes and even audition for full-time dance training! The course is a lively and energetic weekend of dance which will be great fun for everyone - no pink in sight!
Read some of the feedback from the 2010 event on the Scottish news page of the RAD website.
Who can take part...?
The course is open to boys aged 8-18 with any level of dance experience, from complete beginners to advanced students, and classes will all be led by top male teachers from across Scotland.
When and where..?
14 and 15 April 2012 at Dancebase in Edinburgh
How much is it and how do you apply..?
The course is only £48 for 2 full days. Visit the RAD website for more information or email Katie Hart to apply.
CSBS dancing boys
Pictured above are some of the boys from Central Scotland Ballet School at the 2010 event. We are very proud to have 10 boys in our dance school... Although they are slightly outnumbered by over 750 girls!
We are especially proud of former students Duncan Anderson and Andrew Coleman who are now training on full-time dance courses.
