Jungle fun at our Junior Summer School

Our junior dancers have been proving that they don't rest in the holidays as they join our dance summer school...

Dance Maniacs Junior

Twenty-three enthusiastic young dancers aged 7-11 enjoyed 3 days of classes which included a daily class in both ballet and jazz as well as workshops in acrobatics and musical theatre. They also had an arts'n'craft session each day to create the scenery, costumes and masks for their performance at the end of the course. The theme was 'the Jungle' and they created jazz and acro routines inspired by tribal dances, a beautiful tropical butterfly ballet and learned african songs.

We were delighted to welcome professional ballerina Katie Deacon to teach the ballet class. CSBS teacher Sammy taught jazz and acrobatics while Amanda taught jazz, musical theatre and arts'n'craft. They were all assisted by advaned dancer Amber who came to help.

Parents received handcrafted invitations to attend the performance and arrive to the sights and sound of a jungle. They gave the children lots of applause for every routine! At the end of the performance, each child was presented with a certficate .

Please view a gallery of photos from each day on our CSBS Facebook page - they show how hard the children worked throughout the course!
