  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard and skirt with pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes

    MALE: White or Royal blue t-shirt, black or royal blue shorts, white ballet socks and shoes

  • As Pre-Primary for both male/female uniforms. Candidates entering both ballet and tap will just change shoes and require black tap shoes.

PRIMARY BALLET / ROSETTES P3-4

  • FFEMALE: Royal blue leotard and skirt with pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes

    MALE: White or Royal blue t-shirt, black or royal blue shorts, white ballet socks and shoes

  • As Primary Grade for both male/female uniforms. Candidates entering both ballet and tap will just change shoes and require white dance socks and black tap shoes.

ACRO / ROSETTES P1-4

  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard; royal blue shorts (optional)

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black or royal blue shorts.

  • Both male/female uniform as for exams.

CSBS EXAMINATION UNIFORM

We follow guidelines from each exam board for our CSBS exam uniform. Candidates should ensure they have the correct uniform for their grade / level (it is the same as that required for class) as well as regulation ballet socks, neat fitting shoes, underwear which does not show under the leotard (e.g. skin-tone or same colour as leotard), and with hair styled appropriately. Non-binary students should choose either the male or female style uniform, or discuss alternative options with their class teacher.

All items of uniform are available through our CSBS Shop online, or most High Street / online dance wear specialists.

JAZZ/TAP ROSETTES (P1-4)

  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard with matching royal blue shorts; white dance socks; white jazz shoes

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black or royal blue shorts; white dance socks; white jazz shoes

  • If sitting the tap rosette alongside jazz, the uniform is the same but with black tap shoes. If sitting tap alongside ballet, then wear the ballet uniform with tap shoes.

GRADE 1 BALLET / PINK ROSETTE

  • Lavender plain front leotard with matching waistband; pink ballet socks; pink ballet shoes; character skirt; character shoes; watering can prop and gym ribbon (props for exam only, not rosette)

  • White short sleeved leotard or neat fitting t-shirt; dark shorts; white ballet socks; white ballet shoes; character shoes; watering can prop and gym ribbon (props for exam only, not rosette)

GRADE 2-3 BALLET

  • Royal blue leotard with ruched front; pink ballet tights; pink ballet shoes; character skirt; character shoes.

    Grade 2 require a flower garland prop.

    Grade 3 require a floral headband.

  • White leotard or neat fitting t-shirt; black shorts OR royal blue unitard; white ballet socks; white ballet shoes; character shoes.

    Grade 2 require a scarf prop.

    Grade 3 require a drum prop.

GRADE 4-5 BALLET

  • Navy ruched front leotard with matching waistband; pink ballet tights; pink ballet shoes; character skirt with blue ribbons; character shoes (grade 5 only)

    Grade 4 require a tambourine.

  • White sleeveless or capped sleeve leotard or neat fitting t-shirt; navy leggings; white ballet socks; white ballet shoes; character shoes (grade 5 only).Alternative: navy and black unitard.

    Grade 4 require a tambourine.

GRADES PRIMARY / 1-5 TAP

  • FEMALE: Lavender leotard (as ballet); black jazz trousers; black dance socks; black tap shoes

    MALE: Purple CSBS t-shirt; black dance trousers or shorts; black dance socks; black tap shoes

  • FEMALE: CSBS leotard with royal blue velvet; black dance trousers (G2) or black footless tights (G3-5); black dance socks; black tap shoes.

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black dance trousers; black dance socks; black tap shoes.

BRONZE-ADVANCED ACRO

  • CSBS leotard with royal blue velvet; black dance shorts; optional footless tan tights. Grades Gold+ wear black footless tights instead of shorts.

    Medallion/Award wear plain black leotard.

  • Neat fitting royal blue CSBS t-shirt or plain black tank leotard; neat fitting black shorts. Or Royal blue and black unitard.
