BALLET / ROSETTES P1-4

  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard and skirt with pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes

    MALE: White or Royal blue t-shirt, black or royal blue shorts, white ballet socks and shoes

  • As Pre-Primary / Primary for both male/female uniforms. Candidates entering both ballet and tap will just change shoes and require black tap shoes.

JAZZ / TAP ROSETTES P1-4

  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard; royal blue shorts, white dance socks, white jazz shoes

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black or royal blue shorts, white dance socks, white jazz shoes

  • As for jazz rosettes but with black tap shoes.

ACRO / ROSETTES P1-4

  • FEMALE: Royal blue leotard; royal blue shorts (optional)

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black or royal blue shorts.

  • Both male/female uniform as for exams.

CSBS EXAMINATION UNIFORM

We follow guidelines from each exam board for our CSBS exam uniform. Candidates should ensure they have the correct uniform for their grade / level (it is the same as that required for class) as well as regulation ballet socks, neat fitting shoes, underwear which does not show under the leotard (e.g. skin-tone or same colour as leotard), and with hair styled appropriately. Non-binary students should choose either the male or female style uniform, or discuss alternative options with their class teacher.

All items of uniform are available through our CSBS Shop online; shoes and socks etc are also available from High Street / online dance wear specialists.

GRADES 1-3 BALLET

  • Royal blue leotard with ruched front; pink ballet tights; pink ballet shoes; character skirt; character shoes.

    Grade 1 require a watering can prop.

    Grade 2 require a flower garland prop.

    Grade 3 require a floral headband.

  • White leotard or neat fitting t-shirt; black shorts OR royal blue unitard; white ballet socks; white ballet shoes; character shoes.

    Grade 1 require a watering can prop

    Grade 2 require a scarf prop.

    Grade 3 require a drum prop.

GRADE 4-5 BALLET

  • Navy blue leotard with ruched front; pink ballet tights; pink ballet shoes; character skirt.

    Grade 4 require a tambourine.

    Grade 5 require cuban heeled character shoes.

  • Navy blue unitard; white ballet socks; white ballet shoes.

    Grade 4 require a tambourine.

    Grade 5 require character shoes.

GRADED TAP

  • FEMALE: royal blue leotard (as ballet); black jazz trousers; black dance socks; black tap shoes

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black dance trousers or shorts; black dance socks; black tap shoes

  • FEMALE: CSBS leotard with royal blue velvet; black dance trousers (G2) or black footless tights (G3-5); black dance socks; black tap shoes.

    MALE: Royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black dance trousers; black dance socks; black tap shoes.

BRONZE-ADVANCED ACRO

  • CSBS leotard with royal blue velvet; black dance shorts; optional footless tan tights. Grades Gold+ wear black footless tights instead of shorts.

    Medallion/Award wear plain black leotard.

  • Neat fitting royal blue CSBS t-shirt or royal blue /black unitard; neat fitting black shorts.

MUSICAL THEATRE

  • Uniform as for Jazz rosettes and Stardance Awards i.e. leotard and shorts or leotard and trousers with jazz shoes.

  • Neat fitting royal blue CSBS t-shirt; black jazz trousers or leggings; black jazz shoes.

CHEERLEADING

  • CSBS Starshine team t-shirt; silver or royal blue lycra shorts; white dance socks; white cheer trainers or jazz shoes.

  • CSBS Starshine team t-shirt; black lycra shorts; white cheer trainers.
