Golden Dance Award win
We were beyond delighted to be awarded the title of “Best Large Dance School” at the inaugural Golden Dance Awards Scotland 2026! The awards recognise outstanding contribution to the dance community and we joined dancers and tutors from across the country at the glittering awards ceremony in Edinburgh.
AWARD NOMINATIONS
Central Scotland Ballet school was a finalist in two categories, “Best Large Dance School” and “Best Group Performance”. We were very excited to scoop the Best Dance School award which was collected by teacher Sammy.
Senior dancers Charlie Fleming (14) and Jill Russell (17) were each finalists for “Dancer of the Year”. They didn’t win but were honoured to be there and reach the finals which was a great acknowledgement of their talent and achievements!.
PERFORMANCE
Charlie and Jill were also invited to perform on the evning as part of the entertainment. They were asked to showcase some ballet and performed an excerpt from the Mary Poppins dance display number. It was received with great applause and we’ve had some lovely feedback!
