Golden Week dance fun!

In celebration of the end of our Winter dance exams, we held a fun dance week, “Golden Week”. Over the week current CSBS students had the opportunity to attend extra dance classes using their ‘Golden Ticket’. Golden Tickets were also given to friends and siblings so that our dancers could bring their bestie to join a class! It was great to see dancers trying out new styles and learning new skills alongside their friends, including acrobatics, ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre and cheer!

All the classes focussed on non-syllabus work so that the dancers could enjoy themselves after working so hard toward the exam session. In ballet, there was a focus on games and exercises to improve technique, while the higher levels students and their friends did choreography and repertoire. Our Braes preschool class enjoyed a visit from a Princess ballerina (with thanks to advanced student Hannah!). In jazz the dancers learned fun routines and tried new skills, while in acrobatics, there was a focus on partner balances and tricks. Many thanks to our amazing team of teachers for their inspirational and fun classes!

We were especially delighted that following the success of the week, we’ve had students sign up for extra classes in the new year as well as many friends joining the classes too! Although some of our classes have waiting lists, we do have spaces in a range of classes so get in touch if you’d like to sign up!
