Junior dancers shine onstage

In a change to our usual schedule, the junior dancers from both our Braes branch and Linlithgow branch joined together for their dance display this year. One-hundred-and-fifteen little dancers aged 2-8 performed their version of “Welcome to Hollywood” on Sunday 7 June in Macrobert Arts Centre. A huge variety of fun and colourful routines, and a full audience, made it a really brilliant show, and we hope that both the parents and children enjoyed the experience!

Our 40 Majors students performed 3 routines including a Hollywood inspired opening and the short ballet “Snow White”, as well as helping to supervise all the younger dancers backstage.

Medal winning quad Charlie, Freya, Heidi and Jill performed their own jazz choreography to “Hercules”.

Charlie was our 2026 Millennium Trophy winner and performed a medal-winning tap solo of his own choreography to “Steppin’ Time”.

CSBS Teacher Amanda took photos during the dress rehearsal, and you can view the album on our CSBS Facebook page. Professional photos were also taken and these will be available to view soon on the Leask Photography website (password protected).

Huge thanks to the team of CSBS teachers, volunteer chaperones, and Senior students for keeping both this show running so smoothly and caring for the younger dancers so well… it is very much appreciated! Thanks too to the technical team Greig (lights), and the Macrobert crew (sound), for making everyone look fabulous!
