Project Dance 2026

Twenty-eight dancers aged 11-15 joined our Project Dance Summer School in the beautiful surroundings of Bo’ness Town Hall for a 4 day intensive dance course.

They had a challenging schedule of 6 lessons each day with guest tutors from across Scotland. Huge thanks to the tutors for both pushing and encouraging the students throughout the week!

  • Kelly McCole (Ballet; Repertoire)

  • Nicola Thomson (Warm-up; Jazz)

  • Ailish Ogilvie (Warm-up; Jazz)

  • Katie Bryce (Contemporary)

  • Erin Jardine (Commercial)

  • Coral Scott (Commercial)

You can view galleries of some brilliant photos from the lessons to give you an idea of the work involved each day.

Please grab a cuppa and have a look through… there are LOTS of fantastic photos!

It was a wonderful week of learning AND having lots of fun too!

PERFORMANCE AND PRESENTATION

On the fourth and final day, the two groups came together for a short ‘rehearsal’ where they were able to show their class work to the other dancers, before a short sharing of work for an audience of parents and family members.

Each group showcased 3-4 exercises from their ballet class, a piece of classical repertoire, a short contemporary sequence, two short commercial sequences, and a short jazz routine! It is not a performance based course… but everyone performed brilliantly!

Finally, every dancer was presented with a certificate in recognition of their effort. The faculty had also selected dancers to receive “Star Performer Awards” and these were presented to:

  • GROUP 2 - Star Performers: Hannah Bain and Peggy Dawson

  • GROUP 2 - Star Performers: Harry Fleming and Amy Yates

Please view photos from the performance and presentation!

Many thanks to Colin and Fraser at Bo’ness Town Hall for welcoming us for the week and helping us with running the event smoothly!
