Another record Spring Exam Session
Our Spring 2026 Exam Week was epic! In our largest ever session, we had 784 candidates entered for dance exams over 9 full days of exams with 3 different exams boards!
ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE BALLET EXAMS
We welcomed RAD examiner Mr Darren Parish to examine 31 candidates over 2 full days at Grade 3 to Advanced levels.
As well as those two full days of live exams, we had another 85 candidates sitting filmed exams from Primary to Grade 4 level and Solo Performance Awards. Their exams were conducted under exam conditions but filmed for assessment by an international RAD examiner.
We hope to receive all our RAD exam results in 2-3 weeks.
IDTA GRADED EXAMS AND AWARDS
Fifty-five graded tap and contemporary modern candidates performed for examiner Mrs Sally Dennis. We received good feedback and some syllabus notes at the end of the day. Well done to our first ever Classical Award candidates Jill and Georgia.
Another 2 candidates sat their Grade 1 tap class test. We also had 469 (!!!) dancers sitting Stardance Awards and Rosette Awards in ballet, jazz, tap, cheer, and musical theatre filmed for assessment by an international IDTA examiner. Well done to our first ever Cheer Rosette candidates and Musical Theatre Stardance candidates!
The results should arrive in approx. 3-4 weeks.
BATD ACROBATICS EXAMS
We welcomed BATD examiner Heather Murray to assess our 116 acrobatics candidates. They sat exams from First Steps to Premiere levels and we look forward to receiving the results in around 3-4 weeks time.
CSBS PRE-PRIMARY CLASS TEST
Finally, we had 26 little dancers sit a class test for Pre-Primary level ballet. The dancers were assessed by a CSBS teacher and will receive a detailed report on their performance, CSBS certificate, and a medal!
Phew… what a week! You can view a full gallery of our exam candidates on our CSBS Facebook page.
Thank you once again to everyone for their support throughout this week, and well done to our teachers and dancers for their great effort! Extra thanks to the team of Senior students and teachers who ran the session so efficiently.
