Going Global - our 2016 Dance Displays

Our 2016 dance displays, "Going Global" were a great success!

We staged 8 unique performances of the display in the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline and Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling. Overall, there were 120 different dance routines featuring around 840 dancers aged 3-adults! What an amazing achievement by our staff!

South Queensferry branch

The Junior students from our South Queensferry branch performed in a 'Little Stars Edition' of the display on Sunday 5 June in Carnegie Hall, you can read more about the Junior show here. Around 200 students in P3 upward gave 2 performances in Macrobert on Saturday 11 June. They danced brilliantly and the show was quite outstanding! You can see some photos taken from the wings during the South Queensferry branch displays on our CSBS Facebook page.

You can also watch a highlights video from backstage on our CSBS YouTube channel or view professional photos by Leask Photography.

The audience were also fantastic giving lots of cheers and applause, as well as making £408.96 in charity donations after the shows!

Linlithgow and Grangemouth branches

Our smaller Linlithgow and Grangemouth branches joined together for the display with around 240 children staging 2 different perfromances on Sunday 12 June. It was great fun to have a wide range of styles and groups in their show as well as solo and duet performances. A highlight was definitely the Adult tappers with 22 of them performing a rousing Scottish number at the end of the show! You can view a gallery of photos taken from the wings on our CSBS Facbook page or view the professional photos at Leask.Photography.

The Sunday audiences (which also included the Braes Junior show) raised an impressive £599.40 in the charity collections! Many thanks for your generosity!

Braes branch performances

Our Braes branch had lots of changes to their dance display schedule this year. The acrobatics and cheer dancers had staged their own unique display as part of the Falkirk Tryst Festival in May. You can read more about the "It's Time to Shine" display on our website. The Junior dancers, aged 3-6, performed a 'Little Stars Edition' of the show on the morning of Sunday 12 June. They showcased their skills in ballet, jazz, tap and acro with some guest solo performances by Senior dancers. You can read more about the Braes Little Stars show here.

Around 160 dancers in P3 upward staged 2 performances on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 June alongside our Majors students. Their shows were fantastic... even with the added excitement of a Fire Alarm and evacuation during the Monday night show! The audiences raised £326.53 for charity in our collection. You can view photos of the shows on our Facebook page:
