Academy training for Laura!
Advanced student Laura McTeague begins her full-time dance training this week at the MGA Academy of Performing Arts.
Laura (18) will be training on the BA Hons degree course at the Edinburgh based Academy following her 15 years at Central Scotland Ballet School. She is following in the dancing footsteps of her sister Emma who is now a prfoessional dancer.
Successful and accomplished dancer
Laura is a lively and enthusiastic senior student who will be remembered for brightening up her classes! She has gained excellent exams results, made great achievements in competitions and performances, and represented CSBS at both Senior RAD Awards Days and at performances such as Go Dance, Pasha Kovalev tour, Disneyland Paris, as a Cruise performer, and even the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in 2014! Laura was also an associate with Ballet West and also had solo roles in performances with the Russian State Ballet.
She has studied ballet, jazz and tap with us over the past 15 years, reaching Advanced and Grade 8 and was both a member of our Majors programme and Starshine Elite dance team. In our 2019 displays, she danced the role of Captain Hook in our Majors ballet "Peter Pan".
We wish her all the best for her training and look forward to following her career!
