Barbie ™ Ballet Class

Budding young dancers are being given the chance to attend a very special dance class on Sunday 17th March 2013 as we open our doors for the first ever Barbie™ Ballet Class.

Girls and boys aged three to eight will be able to discover the beauty of ballet inspired by Barbie’s™ brand new DVD Barbie™ in The Pink Shoes, out on 18th March. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, the classes will be filmed and entered into a competition to win the chance to perform for world renowned prima ballerina and Royal Academy of Dance President, Darcey Bussell in London.

Guardians will be able to enter their child for FREE places for this Barbie™ Ballet Class at Central Scotland Ballet School from 20th February 2013 until 4th March 2013 at www.rad.org.uk/barbie. The class is open to all abilities and the emphasis will be on having fun whilst staying true to the beauty of ballet! The class will end with a final performance to parents.

Competition...

The performance will be filmed and put forward to the RAD judging panel consisting of Darcey Bussell (RAD President and Strictly Come Dancing judge), Lynn Wallis (RAD Artistic Director) and Laurretta Summerscales, who will decide which class will win the ultimate prize of realising their dream of dancing in front of Darcey Bussell at the Royal Academy of Dance in Battersea, London, on 18th April 2013.
