Barbie winners trip to London...!

We had an amazing trip to London after winning the national Barbie Ballet competition...!

Twenty-two little stars aged 3-8 years were invited to perform their winning dance piece from the Barbie Ballet Class competition in front of prima ballerina and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) president Darcey Bussell at RAD headquarters on 18 April.

They were chosen as competition winners by judges Darcey Bussell, English National Ballet star Laurretta Summerscales and RAD Artistic Director Lynn Wallis, out of 27 participating schools across England and Scotland after submitting a video of the Barbie inspired dance they created in their 1 hour workshop.

Exciting day...

Our fantastic day included a journey on the 007 Skyfall train, a shout out by the conductor on the tannoy, our own special Barbie Red Bus, meeting and dancing for Darcey Bussell and Lynn Wallis at the Royal Academy of Dance, getting soaked in a thunder storm, sightseeing in London, dinner in the jungle at Rainforest Cafe and seeing Platform 9-and-three-quarters at Kings Cross before our journey home! What a day!

It was so exciting that it is all only just sinking in. You can view a gallery of photos from our Barbie Ballet London trip on our Facebook page.

Many thanks to everyone who helped to make our day so enjoyable (especially the RAD and Universal Pictures UK).
