Fundraising in Onesie Week!

We had lots of fun in our Onesie Week dance classes!

Traditionally, we enjoy a week of fun dance classes to celebrate the end of our exam week and give the students a chance to simply relax and enjoy their dance classes after all their hard work. Students came to their dance classes in their onesies or pyjamas with a donation toward our fundraising.

Dance with a difference...

All our dance classes were non-syllabus and included creative warmups, team dance games, choreography, rhythm work in tap, and ballet stories. Preschool students enjoyed creating their own 'Sleeping Beauty' ballet while Senior students had guest tutors for workshops in hip-hop, contemporary and body conditioning.

You can see a gallery of photos from the week on our CSBS Facebook page.

Fundraising

Many thanks to the people who did make a donation. We raised a grand total of £774.15 toward our Dance Fund! The Dance Fund is used to subsidise our events such as the Sparkle Party, Choreography Competition and Parents Day prizes, so that students and parents do not have to pay. The Fund also allows us to rehearse dancers for events at no charge by paying for hall hire, transport or costumes.
