Heidi performs in Les Misérables

Little dancer Heidi starred in the UK tour of the world famous musical production, "Les Misérables"!

Heidi Russell (8) auditioned in Edinburgh to join the touring cast and made it through a number of rounds before being selected and cast as one of 3 girls to play the role of 'Little Cosette' in the Edinburgh leg of the UK Tour. She rehearsed in Dublin where they have a rehearsal set constructed. The professional production was staged at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre for a sell-out 4-week run and received standing ovations every show. It is a spectacular new touring production with a state of the art set inspired by the art work of Victor Hugo, and has new orchestrations.

We were delighted to be able to see Heidi perform and she was an absolute superstar, giving a wonderful acting and singing performance alongside the professional and experienced actors. Unfortunately due to her contract terms, we couldn't post about it online while the show was running, or share photos of her in her costume... but she looked fantastic! She took it all in her stride and was not phased at all by the huge audiences, or her moment of stardom!

Heidi studies ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics and musical theatre with CSBS and has just joined a theatre school to help with her drama skills too. We are sure we will see her name in lights again on stage very soon!
