Panto season... Oh yes it is!

As the Festive panto season draws to a close, we would like to congratulate all our students who have been performing across Scotland.

The students spent weeks and months attending rehearsals with professional choreographers and directors before taking to the stage for their performances in some of Scotland's top pantomime productions... as well as some local events too!

Johnny McKnight's "Beauty and the Beast", Macrobert Arts Centre

Jenna and Sam Davidson had a gruelling 6 week performance schedule in this hilarious show which received great acclaim in reviews by The Stage, The Guardian and The Scotsman papers.

The girls had been selected through auditions to be a part of the 15 strong cast and it is was Jenna's second and Sam's fourth appearance in the Macrobert panto.

Both girls are in our Majors programme and also study ballet and jazz. Jenna has also performed as part of the Scottish Ballet 'Hansel and Gretel' project and in Youth Dance festivals across Scotland. Well done girls!

Edinburgh Kings Theatre, "Peter Pan"

Little Eve Hanson has been performing alongside top Scottish comedy stars Allan Stewart, Andy Gray and Grant Stott in the 7 week run of this 5 star panto in Edinburgh. Eve also performed as "Bielke" in 'Fiddler on the Roof' at the Kings Theatre,Edinburgh earlier this year, as well as in last year's pantomime!

Eve has just successfully auditioned for our Majors class and studies Grade 3 ballet, jazz and tap. Congratulations Eve!

"Humpty Dumpty" with the Linlithgow Players

We were delighted to join the local Linlithgow Players for the 17th consecutive year in their annual pantomime. Six little dancers joined the company to perform as courtiers, scarecrows and snowflakes in specially choreographed routines. Well done to Adela, Erin, Katy, Olivia, Riona and Sarah who are all in our Majors programme.

Also in the production was little Grade 1 dancer Charlotte who appeared as one of the junior cast as a villager, flower, snowflake and mouse! (all pictured above) You can see a gallery of photos from the production on our Facebook page.

Falkirk Children's Youth Theatre presents "Jack and the Beanstalk"

We had a number of children take part in this production written by Simon Beattie at Falkirk Town Hall. Well done to Abbie, Anna, Anya, April, Ashley, Eve, Hannah, Katy, Lucy, Sarah and Serena. Serena also danced and acted the role of the Golden Goose in the show! Great work everyone!

If your little star is in a show, please let us know!
