Rainbow week fun!

We were celebrated the end of exam week with our fundraising Rainbow Week...

We had fun non-syllabus classes at each branch and each day was given a colour in which to dress up. From the littlest preschoolers to the adult classes, many of the dancers brought £1 to their class; only around 60% of students made a donation, but many gave a £1 at every class they attended throughout the week. We had a wide range of activities with friends and family joining in jazz classes, ballet classes learning repertoire from classical ballet, floor barre, and rhythm in tap

Many thanks to everyone who participated, you managed to raise a wonderful £900 toward our Dance Fund which subsidises all our events, rehearsals, trips, new equipment, competitions and prizes throughout the year.

Danceathon for Starshine

On the Sunday, we had a fundraising Danceathon to specifically raise funds for our competitive dance teams to help them attend competitions throughout the year. The event welcomed a huge number of particpants who enjoyed sessions in Zumba, charleston, commercial, seventies disco, and ceilidh dancing too! Also drawn on the day was the prize draw with some incredible prizes on offer. The whole event raised a staggering £1855.40! Many thanks to everyone who supported both the Danceathon and prize draw!
