Spring dance exam success

Spring dance exam results have arrived...!

RAD Ballet Exams

Sixty young dancers sat graded Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams in February with 41 gaining a Merit and 18 being awarded Distinction.

We were delighted to enter our first group of students for the new Primary grade syllabus. The children had only spent a few months learning the challenging new work and were all awarded Silver medals... A special well done to Laura Jones (8) who was awarded a Gold medal with a very high mark of 82%. (Laura pictured right)

All of our ballet students have been working exceptionally hard over the past term, with a special mention to the 6 girls who gained over 90%:

  • Grade 1 - Katy Russell 93% (right) and Olivia MacMahon 92%
  • Grade 2 - Anna McEwan 93% and Becky Morley 93%
  • Grade 6 - Adele Cook 90% and Kristina Lowe 95%
Tap and Jazz exams

Thirty-two students sat exams with the Imperial society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) in tap and jazz. We are pleased that they gained 16 A's (Distinction), 12 B's (Merit) and 4 C's (Pass).

Congratulations to Beth Donnelly, Hannah Deans and Natasha Watson who gained Intermediate Tap, and to the 13 Senior dancers who gained the Bronze Jazz Award with Distinction.
