Starshine cheerleaders are champions!
Starshine cheerleaders have a lot to cheer about after their recent competition success...
The team brought home a number of trophies from the 'Steve Walls Classic' Scotcheer competition in Dundee including:
- Senior Level 2 Cheer Champions
- Youth Cheer Duet Champions
- Seventh Junior Pom dance
- Fourth Senior Pom dance
- Fourth Senior Hip-Hop (Elite)
- Third Senior Jazz dance (Elite)
The team were also very proud to be awarded the Steve Walls Memorial salver for their 'Pride of Scotland' routine. (Pictured above) The award was presented in memory of Scotcheer founder Steve Walls who passed away after strong and brave battle with cancer last year. They are the first winners of the award and the routine saw all 32 members of the team taking to the stage in an emotional lyrical jazz routine to music from Braveheart.
Celebration
In celebration of their succes, the competitors were joined by the mini and Youth dancers at their next training session to train together, perform their routines and eat cake! You can see some photos from the session on the Starshine facebook page.
Great team work everyone!
