Our Starshine dance teams have been busy at competitions over the past 2 weeks.

That's Showbiz

All three of the Elite teams competed in a range of sections at the 'That's showbiz' Scottish Heat in Musselburgh winning an impressive number of awards:

  • Highest mark kids classic - Best Thing
  • Highest mark kids hip- I call the shots
  • Highest mark Mixed open- Red red rose
  • Highest mark mixed modern- Circus
  • Highest mark senior hip- Diva
  • First place kids- Best Thing
  • Third place kids- I call the shots
  • Fourth place kids - Flashlight
  • First place mixed- Circus (joint)
  • First place mixed - Red red rose (joint)
  • Second place senior- Diva
  • Best costume award - Circus
  • Adjudicators choice - Best Thing

The teams have now qualified for the Semi-finals in Blackpool in September!

Dance Challenge UK

Each team performed one routine in the Scottish Heat of Dance Challenge UK at the Howden Park Centre in Livingston. They each won prizes:

  • Youth Elite Hip-hop THIRD
  • Junior Elite Jazz FIFTH
  • Senior Elite Hip-hop SECOND
