Summer dancers step out...
While most people were enjoying a restful holiday, many of our dancers were busy rehearsing, performing and training across the country!
- Twenty ballet students attended an intensive course with Ballet West in Taynuilt, with some staying for 2 weeks!
- Three of our younger students from the Linlithgow branch took part in the Royal Academy of Dance Summer School in Edinburgh.
- Andrew Coleman spent 2 weeks rehearsing and performing in "Anything Goes" at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
- One of our advanced ballet students, Miss Alice Creanor, trained intensively throughout the break at courses across the country, including Ballet West, Central School of Ballet and Royal Academy of Dance (London).
- Sixteen dancers aged 10-17 rehearsed and performed onboard MSC Poesia, sailing from Venice.
- Natasha Watson was accepted to and trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet Summer School as well as with the Royal Academy of Dance.
- Twenty five young dancers aged 5-9 enjoyed our own 'Summer Boogie' which included jazz, ballet, creative dance and craft.
- Our Senior students studied ballet, jazz, hip-hop and cheer during our 'Dance Maniacs' programme.
- Although small in number, the 15 students aged 8-11 who attended our 'Dance Maniacs Junior' programme had fabulous days of ballet, jazz, creative dance and musical theatre.
Phew... After all that we all need a holiday!
