Summer exam success!
Many congratulations to the 25 students who sat their RAD ballet exam in June, gaining excellent results!
We had 10 little stars gain their Pre-Primary Class Award, the first level in the RAD ballet exam syllabus. We had fewer students than usual for this sessions but are delighted that of the 15 graded candidates from Grade 1 to Grade 8, 2 gained a Merit and 13 gained a Distinction!
Grade 8 Award
We are extremely proud of our Grade 8 candidates; every one of them was awarded a Distinction for the exam which is the last level in the RAD graded syllabus. Our Grade 8 students were:
- Amber Ibrahim
- Dayna Lipski
- Emma McTeague
- Eva Dickson
- Sarah MacNeill
Solo Performance Awards
The solo Performance Awards are a new type of examinations offered by the RAD. Candidates must perform 3 solos in front of the examiner. We entered two students for the Award to try it out, with the hope of introducing it as a option for our students. Both candidates gained Distinction! Well done to:
- Catherine Bain - Grade 3 Solo Performance Award
- Serena McCall - Grade 4 Solo Performance Award
Top marks...
The RAD exams are increasingly demanding and the standard required to even pass is incredibly high, which is why we are always so delighted with all our exam candidates! We have special congratulations to the students who were awarded over 80% for their Distinctions:
- Grade 4: Serena McCall 82%
- Grade 4 SPA: Serena McCall 87%
- Grade 8: Amber Ibrahim 84% / Emma McTeague 80% / Sarah MacNeill 86%
