Dancing in puddles at 'Wheel 10'

'Wheel 10' was a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Falkirk Wheel and we were invited to be a part of the entertainment.

However, in true Scotiish summer time style, it rained... and rained... and rained some more! The small performance marquee was flooded and so we had to take to the courtyard - still in the rain!

Senior students from each branch performed a showcase of jazz, tap and ballet routines alongside stunt and hip-hop routines by Starshine Cheerleaders. A highlight of our programme was definitely the little preschool ballet dancers who danced beautifully with big smiles, pointed toes and first positions even though they were wet and cold.

The Falkirk Wheel is one of Scotland's top tourist destinations.  A remarkable and unique piece of engineering, the Wheel links the Union canal and Forth and Clyde canal and is the world's first and only rotating boat lift.

Many thanks to all the students, parents and friends who came along to support the event. You can see a full gallery of photos on our Facebook page or, watch clips of the performances on our YouTube channel!
