Falkirk Arts Awards 2015
Many congratulations to the dancers of Central Scotland Ballet School on receiving Awards from Falkirk Council.
The Falkirk Council Annual Awards recognise the achievements of people from around Falkirk in Sports and the Arts which have brought Merit to the Falkirk area. The Arts awards are presented in association with Falkirk Arts and Civic Council at a ceremony held in Falkirk Town Hall.
Group success
Groups from Central Scotland Ballet School were recognised for their success in performances and competitions throughout 2014 with 3 awards being presented:
- CSBS Commonwealth Games Performers (dancers performed in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2014) - represented by Amanda Clark
- CSBS Disneyland Performers (dancers successfully auditioned to perform at Disneyland Paris in July 2014) - represented by Kiera Paterson
- Starshine Cheerleaders (competition success throughout 2014) - represented by Kiera Paterson
Many congratulations to all the many dancers involved in each of these groups!
Individual success
Awards were also presented to individuals who had made considerable achievements or won awards in 2014:
- Riona Clifford (RAD Junior Award winner; Millennium Trophy winner)
- Serena McCall (RAD Junior Award winner; Royal Ballet School associate)
- Anna McEwan (Member of Disneyland, Commonwealth and Starshine teams; volunteer for almost 8 years)
- Ailey Meikle (Winner Vicki Paterson Junior Award for Excellence 2014)
- Anya Phillips (Winner Vicki Paterson Junior Award for Excellence; Scottish Ballet tour)
- Zoe Young (Millennium Trophy winner)
