ANNUAL DANCE DISPLAYS

We are delighted to present our annual dance displays involving all our students and giving them the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre.

Please take some time to read the information about rehearsals, performances, tickets, costumes and registration. There is a fee to pay toward participation as well as costume hire and tickets.

Dance is a performing art and we encourage all our dancers to participate in the displays… it truly is a wonderful experience!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS… and answers!

  • The dressing rooms open 45 minutes before the rehearsal / performance begins and all dancers must be ready in costumes 10 minutes before ’curtain up’. You can arrive any time between those points.

  • For safety and space, we ask that parents sign their child into the dressing room then leave as soon as possible. Chaperones will supervise the children. If you are in the audience, you should remain in your seat during the performance.

  • No… all costumes must be left after the performance. Your costume charge is just to hire the costume and does not cover the cost of purchase.

  • Leask Photography will take photos during the dress rehearsals. You will need to collect a password card from the Foyer in the theatre. Our own (amateur) photos will be available on social media.

  • Each class will be allocated a space in the communal changing areas. These spaces are signposted and accessed through the Macrobert foyer. View allocations / map on the changing room page.

  • Long hair should be secured in a tight neat ballet bun. Both hair and makeup guidelines can be viewed on the COSTUMES page

  • It is ANY black shoes! It could be tap shoes / jazz shoes / gym shoes / party shoes / school shoes.

  • The professional videographers will be filming background footage before the show as dancers arrive and backstage as well as each of our 6 performances with multi-cameras. It takes some time to process all the footage and we expect to have the footage in approx. 8-10 weeks.
