Choreography Competition 2025

Our annual Choreography Competition is an absolute highlight of our dance calendar. This year we only had 37 dancers take part in performing their own routines… but they were fabulous! It was staged in the lovely, relaxed surroundings of the Leapark Hotel.

The dancers ,aged 4-16, took to the stage to perform 83 unique routines they had created themselves in a wide range of dance styles including ballet, acrobatics, musical theatre, jazz, and tap, with an audience of family and friends and a small panel of guest judges.

LITTLE STARS SECTION

As well as the competitive sections, we loved seeing the “Little Stars” section where we had only 2 little ones take to the floor this year, each performing a duet with an older sibling. Each little dancer received a certificate and small trophy. Very well done them for their really joyful performances!

PRIZES and AWARDS

There were 83 routines performed throughout the day and every dancer was presented with a certificate for each routine they performed. The certificates were presented by CSBS Director/Principal, Mrs Jacqueline Clark. At the end of the day, everyone gathered together for the prize giving ceremony with 113 medals presented and additional trophies for highest points in each section.

IMPROVISATION TROPHY

We also held an elimination style improvisation section where dancers of all ages took to the stage to dance without having prepared a routine. It was wonderful to watch with both senior and junior dancers really ‘feeling’ the music and supporting each other onstage! Every competitor received a pin badge. The judges whittled it down to 6 finalists with one overall winner being presented an annual trophy.

  • FAN IMPROVISATION AWARD - Lucy Ross (13)

  • FINALISTS - Grace Archer (12), Harry Fleming (12), Evie Kinghorn (9), Charlie Fleming (13), Amy Yates (12)
