Danceathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
Three of our young dancers dancers are undertaking a fundraising challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Holly and her friends Eryn and Mhairi, (pictured right with big sister Eilidh), have been fundraising throughout the summer to raise both funds and awareness for MacMillan Cancer Support. The charity works to provide support to families affected by cancer and have been actively supporting Holly and her family following her mum's breast cancer diagnosis in June.
Holly has already raised money by selling Macmillan wristbands, and the girls and their brothers have even forged some special keyrings at Ratho Byres Forge which they are selling too! The group will also be making a presentation at school to explain why they are supporting the charity and raise awareness of the important work done by Macmillan.
Sponsored danceathon
The girls all love to dance and decided to set themselves a dance challenge! On Sunday 29th November 2015 from 12-4pm, the girls will be performing continuously at the annual Christmas Fundraiser in the village of Tarbrax. They have all worked really hard throughout their summer holidays and are now rehearsing both at school and after school, choreographing their own routines to their favourite music, and creating their own costumes. They are feeling ready for their 4 hour dance challenge!
Please show your support by making a donation to their fundraising and sponsoring their dance effort! CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR THE GIRLS IN THEIR DANCEATHON
We wish the girls every success in their challenge and hope they raise a good total for the charity; we are VERY proud of their hard work and kindness.
If you can, why not visit the Christmas Fundraiser on Sunday?!?!
