Linlithgow dancers are “Enchanted”
We finished our epic 2024 dance display run with performances by our Linlithgow branch. The ‘main’ show for P5+ was our fifth and final performance on the Macrobert Arts Centre stage, while our junior dancers took their smaller show onto the local Linlithgow Academy stage.
LINLITHGOW SENIOR SHOW
This was our biggest show of the run with 150 dancers aged 9-17, including our Majors students and Elite teams, performing 40 different routines showcasing ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, commercial, musical theatre, cheer and acro styles in an absolutely stunning show for a sell-out audience of 440 family and friends. The show was a great opportunity for the audience to see some of the amazing Elite team routines! We also enjoyed a sparkling number by 14 of our adult tap dancers to end the show and a solo by our 2024 Millennium Trophy winner Charlie.
Huge thanks to the team of volunteer chaperones who kept this challenging programme running smoothly with so many quick changes!
We were delighted to share the news that dancers Chloe, Lexie and Millie will be progressing to full-time dance training after the summer break. We look forward to following their further training and careers!

LINLITHGOW JUNIOR SHOW
Our Linlithgow Junior show was a little different this year and we headed into a local school hall. We had almost 60 little dancers aged 3-8 years old performing a fun selection of ballet, tap, jazz, commercial, cheer and acro routines for an enthusiastic audience of around 240 family and friends. Our Majors dancers also showcased jazz and ballet routines which had been recreated to fit into the smaller theatre and stage.
Due to limited time in venue, only our Millennium Trophy winner Charlie (12) performed a solo in this show.
We must give an extra special mention to technician Greig for the incredible job he did of lighting all our shows, but especially this one! He managed to turn the school hall, which had no tech facilities, into a dazzling performance space with an extremely tight schedule to get all his equipment in and out of the venue.
Teacher Amanda took photos during the dress rehearsal, and you can view the Linlithgow Junior album on our CSBS Facebook page.
