WLDF Scottish Championships
Our Elite dance teams had to keep working hard after our dance display run in preparation for the World Lyrical Dance Federation (WLDF) Scottish Championships in Leven on 22-23 June. They performed a range of solos, duets, small groups and squad routines in lyrical and jazz styles with great success!

DAY 1 RESULTS
The first day of competition saw our dancers compete with their group lyrical routines which they had also showcased in our dance displays. The Junior team gained THIRD place for “Arrival of the Birds”, while our Senior team placed SIXTH for “Heaven”. Some of the dancers also competed in small groups for lyrical, acro solos and jazz solos. Each level / category places the top 10 dancers or groups and we were delighted to have a number of placings in top ten and also 1st-3rd too!

Chloe - U18 Novice Acro solo - FIRST - Scottish Champion

Ava - U14 L1 Jazz solo - 6th Place
Rachel - U14 L1 Jazz solo - 4th Place
Murray - U14 L1 Jazz solo - THIRD
Georgia - U16 L1 Jazz solo - 8th Place
Chloe - U18 L1 Jazz - 9th Place
Murray - U14 Lyrical Improv - FINALIST
We must give special congratulations to Chloe and Charlie for their Scottish Championship titles, and also to Murray for being a finalist in the improvisation competition.
DAY 2 RESULTS
The second day of the competition saw our dancers take to the floor in jazz duets, acro solos, jazz groups, and lyrical solos. Fifteen routines gained places with another Scottish Champion title, this time for Murray!

Following the results, we have additional special congratulations for Senior dancer Charlotte who has now qualified for worlds; Junior dancer Ava who is promoted from Level 1 to Level 2; and both Junior dancers Charlie and Murray who have been promoted to Advanced levels ahead of the World Championships in August.
